There was something wrong with him. Jun Yan was sure of it. Ye Chen was lying there, in a coma. Yet his thoughts were running wild. He desired to marry her. He desired to possess all of her. Everything that happened in the illusion was still vivid in his memories. The sweetness from the kiss “Gu Jianan” took when she had a high fever. The softness from the kiss they shared at the Qixi Festival. The pleasure of doing whatever he wanted when he fell and became a devil in the illusion. 

Just thinking about it made his breathing erratic. If this continued, he would need to restrain himself. 

He needed to leave, but there was a voice clamoring in his mind.

“She is asleep, she will know nothing.”

“Don’t you want her? No one will know. Don’t you want to一”

His thoughts were getting wilder. The thoughts in his heart were mixed with invisible obsessions and desires. 

Jun Yan didn’t notice it, but his eyes began to turn scarlet. He dazedly leaned his head down and pressed it to her cheek. 

The girl’s body temperature was just right, which made the night atmosphere become pleasingly gentle and soft. His breathing was light as if he was afraid that the girl would suddenly wake up. His hands were slowly invading her clothes. Tracing every inch of her body and kissing it. He gathered her into his arms. Merely touching her already made him blissful. 

He was waiting for something to happen when he snapped out of his daze. He was bewildered when he saw the mess he produced in front of him. 

Ye Chen was still in a coma, not disturbed at all by his actions. There were his marks all over her body. Her skin was tender and soft, even if he only pinched it lightly, it created a thin layer of redness. 

What did he just do?

Jun Yan trembled. He waved his hand and cast a magic spell. The moment the evidence of his actions was cleaned, he fled from Ye Chen’s room in embarrassment to Siguo^[1] Cliff.  

The Siguo Cliff was covered with ice and snow all year round. The coldness calmed Jun Yan a little bit. His robe and hair were still messy and loose.  He stood there, blankly gazing at the world below. 

The illusion of Fox Demon often shook the foundation of Cultivators’ Dao Heart and left a permanent mark there, creating a flaw. Because their illusion was too real, it’s hard to distinguish the truth from the false. It would magnify the little flaw in the Dao Heart infinitely, but if the Dao Heart was strong, there would come a day when they could break from the illusion completely and start over. 

He knew, and it was precisely because of that it made him feel pain.

He has cultivated Ruthless Dao for 300 years, and he naturally knew his Dao’s destination. A cultivator changing their path mid-way was the same as starting from scratch, abandoning all of their past experiences and accomplishments. 

He has reached Mahayana Realm. He has no way to go except to move forward. Any feelings would slowly fade away over time. 

At first, he didn’t know what his thought on Ye Chen was. He didn’t want to know. Because he knew that sooner or later, he would break through the highest Realm and ascend. If he had any promises or entanglements with Ye Chen… It would end up hurting her.

So he didn’t say or do anything. He would only be her Shifu, waiting for her quietly. Guarding her and securing her road of cultivation was smooth so she could ascend. 

Ye Chen has no special feelings for him, he was aware of it. His heart ached, but he was also glad. It’s good if she has no feelings for him. He could continue to guard her in silence. 

That was what he thought.

But, the Fox Demon’s illusion opened the pandora box in his heart. All of his repressed feelings gushed out and he was unable to resist them. 

The thought of it made him shiver. He closed his eyes and sat cross-legged, starting to meditate. 

With the ice and snow of Siguo Cliff howling past him, Jun Yan kept reciting the Heart Purification Sutra, again and again, trying to expel all evil thoughts.

However, Jun Yan had been touched by the red dust^[2]. The Heart Purification Sutra could only clear the heart temporarily, it couldn’t be used to clear the heart for a lifetime.

Only, that was the truth that Jun Yan understand many years later.

Long after Jun Yan left, Ye Chen woke up in a daze.

At this time, it was already noon. Ye Chen was lazing on the bed. Her body was pained all over and she quickly went alert.

“Not right! This doesn’t feel right!”

38 was astonished. It thought its foolish host was dense. Why was she so keen today ah. It nervously gulped, “What’s ‘not right’?”

“I was wounded badly, how can I sleep in and didn’t have any breakfast! Fuck! Something is fishy about this.”

38, “……”

It overestimates its host too much.

“Your Shifu went to Siguo Cliff.” 38 lightly hinted.

Ye Chen got up from bed and felt pain all over her body. She hissed in pain, “No wonder he’s not here. I’ll see him later.”

38 was suspicious, “You don’t want to know why he went there?”

“Isn’t it obvious?” Ye Chen opened the door. The light shone on every corner of her room instantly. She squinted her eyes and casually said,  “Shifu is a disciplined and strict person! He was caught in the illusion, he definitely can’t accept it and he must be punishing himself there!”

“Otherwise, what else?” Ye Chen was a little doubtful.

38 pondered hard about this matter. It decided to test the water first before notifying its host. 

“Say… if there was a man who quietly came to do shameful things to you every night while you were asleep, how would you feel about it?

“Probably… the number one beauty in the world?” 38 was careful.

With that said, Ye Chen freshened up. She went to Xie Wushuang for lunch. Although she was already at Golden Core, she still has the habit of eating. There were only two people in the Tian Jian Section who could cook delicious food. The first was Jun Yan and the second was Xie Wushuang. Jun Yan was not there, so she went to Xie Wushuang.

While she was flying in mid-air on a crane, 38 chatted with her casually, “By the way, who do you prefer to be the person that sneaks into your room every night? ”

“Without doubt, it’s Shifu ah.” She didn’t even need to think about it before answering. “A very good-looking person, of course, it can only be my Shifu. Also, don’t you think it will be more exciting if it’s Shifu?”

“Can you be serious for a moment?” 38 coughed,  “Don’t you have any shame?”

“I have,” Ye Chen’s gaze was gentle, “I have a sense of shame in my heart.”

It was exactly because of her shame that she didn’t say what she really said in her heart.

38 was keenly aware of her gaze. It took a cold breath, “The fuck?! Don’t tell me you like Jun Yan?!”

“Can’t you detect my Emotional Value?” Ye Chen grinned, “Test it yourself.”

“You fucker!” 38 cursed, “You also get an upgrade, you know! Now, I can’t detect the Emotional Value deviation if it is below 50! Tell me the truth! How much is your deviation value right now?!”

With that said, Xie Wushuang soon went to prepare the food. He looked so good when he was cooking. His whole person softened. Ye Chen leaned against the door and stared at him.

In her heart, she emotionally told 38, his look is so fucking good. 

She really loves this world! The Male Lead and the Villain, both are so good-looking!!

Xie Wushuang noticed her stare and couldn’t help being nervous. He pretended not to notice and concentrated on ducking his head to stir-fry the dishes in the pot.

Ye Chen filled in the silence, “Have you practiced your sword recently?”

“Mn.”

“Are you ready to break through the Nascent Soul?”

“It’s still too early.”

“I heard you picked up a spiritual pet from the mountain. It must be very cute, right? Can I see it? Give it a hug?”

“Mn.” Xie Wushuang’s face was flushed. He whistled and a moment later. a fluffy little tiger with dark eyes ran out from the side. It obediently squatted on the ground, like a puppy, warm and enthusiastic.

How could it be so cute… It must be a fake tiger, right…?

Ye Chen’s heart was bubbling. She didn’t care about the question of whether it was a real tiger or not. She stuttered, “Can… Can I keep it? I will raise it properly!”

Xie Wushuang didn’t expect her to ask that. He saw Ye Chen’s excitement and blushed all the way to his neck. After eating, Ye Chen waited for Jun Yan in the cave until it was almost evening. 

Jun Yan still hadn’t come back. 

She hugged the little beast and went to Siguo Cliff. The ice and snow on the Siguo Cliff were so cold.

Jun Yan noticed her as soon as she stepped into the range of Siguo Cliff. He waved his hand and his clothes changed in an instant, there was no trace of embarrassment on him. 

Ye Chen hugged the little beast closer because of the cold, “Shifu, you’ve been here all day. Don’t you want to go back?”

Jun Yan was quiet. His gaze centered on the little beast Ye Chen was hugging. It was a Ji spiritual beast, Xie Wushuang’s beast. 

His eyes were sharp. The little tiger was frightened by him and trembled. Ye Chen hastily hugged and patted it on the back, comforting it. She reproached Jun Yan. “Shifu, don’t scare it! It’s so timid! I finally persuaded Xie Wushuang to let me keep it. Are you planning to get me in trouble?”

Finally persuaded?

Jun Yan mocked in his heart. Persuaded? Xie Wushuang was probably so eager in his heart to let his Ji spiritual beast accompany Ye Chen every day! He wasn’t blind. He understood Xie Wushuang’s intention.

“This is a Ji spiritual beast.” He reminded Ye Chen directly, “If Xie Wushuang put his Divine Consciousness on it right now, hugging this tiger is no different from hugging him.”

“I’m not worried about it,” Ye Chen spoke earnestly. “Wushuang said that he won’t do that, then he definitely won’t. He is not such a person.”

Jun Yan didn’t speak, he felt endless jealousy rising up from his heart. His breathing became unsteady. He closed his eyes and waved his sleeves wide, “You go. I will stay here for another night. ”

Ye Chen was a little helpless. Was he throwing a tantrum because he just lost this argument?

“Shifu,” said Ye Chen coquettishly, “Let’s go back. It’s so cold here. If you freeze yourself because of the cold, I will be so distressed!”

She spoke coquettishly with a soft voice. For Jun Yan, it was the same as a seduction. His mind was disturbed and he roared, “Go away!”

Ye Chen was surprised by his dismissal. 

She blinked and composed herself. She scoffed, “Fine, do as you like. I’ll go.”

With that, Ye Chen hugged the little tiger once more and decisively left. 

When she had gone far, Jun Yan opened his eyes. It already turned scarlet. 

He clenched the nearest ice wall, panting in a low voice. His Divine Consciousness was following Ye Chen.

He watched her go back to the cave and play with the little tiger in her arms. The little tiger was like a puppy. Ye Chen raised her hand, and it would raise its hand; Ye Chen instructed it to roll, and it would roll.

How could there be such a clever spiritual pet?

It must be Xie Wushuang… It must be Xie Wushuang in it!

No one would be able to see the difference if a Ji spiritual beast was possessed by its master or not. They needed to distinguish it by behavior. Jun Yan’s heart was entirely paranoid because of it. 

Ye Chen was tired from playing. She hugged the little tiger and fell asleep. 

The little tiger rested on her chest. It rubbed its round head there and licked the half-exposed skin. 

Something in Jun Yan’s brain snapped. In the next moment, he was already next to Ye Chen. Two flashes of light rushed directly into Ye Chen and the little tiger’s heads.

Jun Yan marched up to the bed. He tossed the little tiger to the ground and squatted next to Ye Chen. 

“Don’t… “

“Stop it…!”

He shouted desperately, but his body was completely out of control. He stretched out his cold hand and untied the clothes of the person on the bed. He bowed his head to kiss her.

Ye Chen groaned unconsciously, irritated by the touch. She turned over and swatted at the intruder. 

“Stop it…!”

“Please stop it!”

However, it was useless. No matter how he shouted, his body didn’t listen to him. The other person in his body had already tasted the sweetness of the person under him. Except for the last step, he had been fiddling with the person under him, pleasantly consuming her as if taking sugarplums^[4]

This time, when he sobered up, he didn’t flee in a hurry. He silently took care of everything and sat beside Ye Chen.

The only thing he could do was hide everything. Silently devouring all the bitter fruit^[5] by himself.

He walked alone, with only his sword beside him.

The next day Ye Chen woke up. She was dazed. She read the message that Jun Yan left her. 

“Shifu retreated? Didn’t he say he wanted to see me grow up? He has retreated once again and he didn’t even give notice to me before?”

38 didn’t respond. It panicked.  

Ye Chen hissed when she opened her mouth. There was a strange feeling on her tongue “Why did my tongue hurt? It’s fucking like being kissed all night!”

38, “……”

Unfortunately, or fortunately, Ye Chen was a carefree person who didn’t really care about small details at all and let it go.

Jun Yan retreated so she began to practice hard. She couldn’t follow Jun Yan’s way and retreated. The Female Lead might appear at any time, she must stay alert. 

She practiced her sword seriously every day, asking Xie Wushuang to fight one-on-one. After that, she would go to bathe and fall asleep with the little tiger in her arms.

The weird thing was, every time she woke up in the morning, the little tiger would be sprawled on the ground. It seemed to be kicked by her in her sleep. The little tiger always seemed aggrieved and she felt guilty. Later, she prepared a nest for the little tiger to sleep alone.

In three years, the two people in his body began to compromise with each other. At night, he let the Heard Demon out and indulged himself.

His Heart Demon was created because of his obsession. He has an indescribable possessiveness, affection, and desire for Ye Chen. During the night, he indulged in the indulgence. During the day, he was disgusted and hated himself further. He became more afraid to face Ye Chen.

He should have left his retreat long ago. Only, he never dared to go out. He was afraid to see Ye Chen.

He was no longer a person. He was a beast. No matter where; No matter when, he was always ready to make a move on that person, hurting that person. 

He didn’t want to. No matter the reasons, he didn’t want to hurt that person. 

Yet, at night, he went to her again.

Ye Chen nearly reached the Nascent Soul Realm so she was paired with Xie Wushuang for the training match today.

She also had learned to clearly feel the flow of the Qi.  

Soon after she fell asleep, she felt that her Divine Consciousness was disturbed by something. She realized that it was a sleeping spell. She was alerted in an instant and yelled, “System, absolute sober!”

38 directly deducted 10 points. Her body lost its strength, but her mind was awake.

She saw a man push the door to her room.

They hadn’t seen each other for three years. His temperament has become colder, wearing black robes and not his usual white. His eyes were scarlet. Under the moonlight, he appeared a bit weird. 

Ye Chen exclaimed in disbelief, “That is… Shifu?!”

“Mn…” 38 was guilty in its heart. 

Ye Chen watched him unhurriedly walk to her bed. There was an ominous feeling in her heart.  She swallowed hard, “He… what is he going to do?” ”

“Indescribable things…”

“38,” Ye Chen gasped in horror, “He forced me, right? This has nothing to do with me, right?!”

“Yes…” 38 looking at Ye Chen’s horrified appearance. It consoled her, “Host, don’t be afraid, for the task…”

“Turn off your contact with the outside world! ” Ye Chen shouted. 

38 was silenced. He sighed and instantly vanished from Ye Chen’s mind.

Now, there were only two people left, Ye Chen and Jun Yan. Ye Chen saw Jun Yan studying her intently. Gradually, his mouth curled up.

That smile was flirtatious and coquettish, like a blooming Red Spider Lily. He untied his clothes layer by layer. He towered over her and lowered her clothes. Her body was integrated with his. His hands roamed everywhere on her body, not a spot left untouched.

She never thought Jun Yan had already gone so many steps ahead with her!

“Host…” 38’s voice rang again. Ye Chen blushed, “What are you doing back again!”

“No worries. I don’t know what is happening outside.” 38 was overwhelmed with guilt. He carefully said, “I’m just worried about you, I’m afraid you will一”

“I have nothing to be afraid of!” Ye Chen ground her teeth. Based on Jun Yan’s skill and familiarity with her body, she was so fucking sure that this was not the first time Jun Yan did this kind of thing! Ye Chen didn’t want Jun Yan to realize she was sober and urged 38, “You go, hurry!”

“Host…” 38 didn’t listen, “I understand. You are a girl. It must be hard to accept this kind of thing, but we should be able to bend and stretch for the task. Although it’s unfortunate now and perhaps even more unfortunate in the future…”

Ye Chen lazed on the bed and opened her eyes. At this time, 38 came back.

“Don’t pretend to be sad to coax me after everything,” 38 ruthlessly exposed her, “Do you want to stay sober tonight or not?”

“Stay stay stay!” Ye Chen clamored in hurry, “How can I not stay sober at this time?!”

“Do you still remember your task?” 38 collapsed, “You have to save his three views, not sink with him!” ”

“In fact,” Ye Chen considered deeply, “I think… I can make Jun Yan fall in love with me. Then, I’ll return his feelings. We will fall in love with each other and be happy. Isn’t it also a way to save him?”
